A BILL to extend the time for the county commission of Wirt County
to meet as a levying body for the purpose of presenting to the
voters of the county an election to extend an additional
county levy for personnel salaries, repairs and maintenance
and regional jail fees from between the seventh and twenty-
eighth days of March until the first Thursday in June, two
thousand two.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
WIRT COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING AS LEVYING BODY EXTENDED.
§1. Extending time for Wirt County Commission to meet as levying
body for election of additional levy for personnel salaries,
repair and maintenance, and regional jail fees.
Notwithstanding the provisions of article eight, chapter
eleven of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred
thirty-one, as amended, to the contrary, the county commission of Wirt County is hereby authorized to extend the time for its meeting
as a levying body and certifying its actions to the state tax
commissioner from between the seventh and twenty-eighth days of
March until the first Thursday in June, two thousand two, for the
purpose of submitting to the voters of Wirt County an additional
county levy for personnel salaries, repair and maintenance and
regional jail fees.

Wirt County commission to submit a proposed levy for the Wirt
County voters' approval or rejection, intended to finance personnel
salaries, repairs and maintenance and regional jail fees.)
